>>the MEMS thread<<

For everyone's benefit, let me point out that a thread was recently started on the subject of MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems). The person who started it works at JPL and worked on the Mars Pathfinder Mission. He's been too busy to post much, but I'm hoping this will turn out to be a good thread that is relevant to WIND. See: "MEMS - The Next Electronics Revolution?" exchange2000.com

>>do you know what criteria a company must have to have LEAPS? perhaps its market must be above a certain value, any ideas?<<

I assume that WIND LEAPS options will be listed in a few years after the market cap grows larger.

JC,<<..do you know what criteria a company must have to have LEAPS ?.. >>
.
My semi-educated guess is that what is required is that the option market makers perceive a sufficient interest on the part of traders to provide a profit possibility for themselves ( the market makers). It seems probable that stocks for which LEAPS are offered are likely to be the same stocks which have relatively large regular option activity. I haven't looked for WIND, but I would be surprised if its options are heavily traded due to normal lack of news driven trading.
