Give Wall St. scum a chance, and they will rob you blind. They got 10 years worth of a chance, and here we are.

So, why aren't we letting them go bust now? Why are we paying good money trying to bail the bastards out?

Saving their businesses and their fortunes is the only solution? I doubt that.

The "free market" free-for all - a/k/a cronyism - at Fanny and Freddie did us no favors.

I get the cronyism part, but when the cronyism is basically regulatory capture where congressional oversight turned into one party using Freddie and Fannie as a piggy bank it is not "a free market" free for all. It is a failure of a regulatory regime. Fannie and Freddie's failure is all about the Government Sponsored Enterprise failure not a market failure.
