You could live in the Davis Mountains, near Big Bend. The mountains aren't far from Texas anyway. Or just paint mountain scenes on all your walls. Lots of solutions. Texas is an awesome place to live. There are lots of great things about Texas living. I grew up in Calif, lived 4 yrs in Germany, then 5 in California. Not moving back to Cali. for sure. Love the people here.

Not many mountains in TX and none that look like those up in the NW.

You know I think Wa state near Oregon (Vancouver WA) would be good for tax reasons - no income tax in WA, ability to shop in OR where theres no sales tax.
