Talk, talk, talk.

"Talk" is incredbily important. Talk is (or at least can be) the result of thought, and leads to inspiration and action.

Bush did that, and they are hiding in caves instead of camping out at the Baghdad Airport. Your side is still complaining.

"they" were never at the Baghdad Airport. And exactly where "they" are is unknown. for all we know, some of "them" may well be in Saudi Arabia. the point is, "they" are not only still out there, they are causing trouble in both Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Bush did that, and ...etc.

No, he didn't. He dictated to people after 2002. He and his administration had a tin ear for diplomacy. And were convinced that the one guy who might have done far better--Powell--was a wuss for wanting to listen and dialogue rather than dictate.

Bush attacked a country that could have and would probably have provided nuclear capability to the terrorists, which you deny him credit for.

No, they could not have done so. I deny him "credit" for it because it was unnecessary, and he did it at the wrong time in the wrong way for the wrong reasons. Pakistan is the country that could provide them with nuclear capability, and possibly one or two of the countries carved out of the Soviet Union. So we have participated in the destabilization of Pakistan, and have dealt with Russia and states surrounding it in stupid ways.

Very clever of Bush. Frankly, putting all of his actions together might make one think that he was like the Manchurian candidate, only not programmed to assassinate, but programmed to do all the right things that would help Osama and whoever directs Osama to succeed in badly damaging this country.

Sorry, we're not gonna see eye to eye on this, it has been talked about endlessly. You can have the last word.

LOL...Manymoose,

You always seemed like an intelligent fellow, but you are apparently NOT based on the idiocy you've spewed on this thread.

Do you even have the "thinking ability" to realize that the eventual result of our invasion of Iraq will be to offer Iran the ALLY that they did not previously have in the Middle East?

Before the invasion ALL of our allies in the Middle East were Sunnis, with Hussein's Iraq among the most formidable. With our "democracy initiative" in Iraq we have "unleashed" the Shiite population in that very large oil producer. We may be able to keep a handle on things for 3 years or so, but after that we will be facing a Middle East much more in tune with the Iranian viewpoint than what we were facing before 2003.

It ONLY cost us 4000 lives, 30,000 wounded and at LEAST a trillion bucks to accomplish this.

And your side is still, after all these years, claiming that Iraq had something to do with 9/11, despite all the years of non-evidence. Not to mention all the "Obama is a socialist commie fascist" "analysis" that passes for thought among SI's political professionals.

Channeling pre-war Dick Cheney, are we now? I realize that you think you're the reasonable one among a sea of idiots here, but conventional reality would indicate otherwise.
