Neolib didn't take you up on the suggestion, but I'll give you a response anyway.

Bush won the election in 2004 by fulfilling the constitutional requirements for becoming elected President. End of story.

Well, not quite the end.

The result was so close that Acorn and other like minded groups saw the utility of rounding up fraudulent voter registrations. It's easy to tip the result when the electorate is evenly divided as it is now.

We haven't been attacked since 9/11, so Bush is doing a good job. End of story.

I support McCain, not because he is the perfect candidate but because he is vastly better than the alternative. He at least offers something of what I want, although he also offers things I don't want.

Rambi complains elsewhere that I 'leave' this thread, and come back to it from time to time after dissing it on other threads.

Quite honestly, I would prefer to stay and rap, but it becomes so uncomfortable and so time-wasting that I simply have to leave. Sometimes I get four or five attacks on something I've said.

I like to respond to all, but it simply takes too much time.

And it changes nothing.

This most recent exchange was the result of a genuine question I had. You provided the best answers, though I disagree with them. The other responses were no answers at all.

Finally, though there are some very civil people like yourself on the Center View, hypocrisy is the major impression I get when reading posts over here. Some respondents to my posts, which I attempt to keep civil even in the face of insults, are very objectionable.

It's not much fun to debate here. In fact, it is painful. I do it for one of two reasons: 1) to get a question answered as I did tonight, where I could not expect an informative answer from people who agree with me; and 2) to expose and illuminate hypocrisy when I see it.
