I like MM very much as a person so I find it difficult when he espouses some of the rhetoric and thinking that he does here. However, except for a few insults he is accepted here and a lot of us try to respond to his pronouncements. However, I once visited PFP thread. Was extremely polite and just posted something that I had read that was totally different from what a poster there had posted. Merely to show the other side and how easily things could be misinterpreted. I got a PM from the moderator to desist in posting on his thread because my posts were to controversial. Here Manny has a chance to debate but in any debate it's difficult if not impossible to change minds.. I am so in favor of Obama, new blood, his education and mature not emotional approach to problem solving that I TRUST him to make intelligent decisions. AND if he finds that he is wrong he will admit and correct it. That is something we have not had in 8 years. You put your trust and confidence in your leader and know he will try to do the right thing and benefit all Americans. I have not had any TRUST of Bush. I have not agreed with the terrible things he did behind our backs that had to have investigations to even be revealed and then when supeana's are offered the offender refuses to appear. Would threaten national security... is the argument offered. Pure Bush isms... Sorry Manny. I just cannot go along with you on McCain and even though now the RW is saying that Powell endorsed Obama because of color it just reintroduced the racist thing. I think Powell was used by the Bush administration and has never lived down how he was lied to before going before the United Nations. However I TRUST HIM NOT TO PLAY THE RACE CARD but to be objective on his decision.

The RW hasn't attacked Obama anywhere near the amount the LW has attacked Bush, and its not like McCain and esp. Palin have not been the subject of a lot of attacks. They question his intellect Probably less than the left questions almost any Republican's intellect, except perhaps a few of the most clearly highly intelligent who they just portray as evil. his religion That struck me as pretty silly at best, unreasonably hostile at worst. his integrity Such attacks are an every day occurrence from the left. his accomplishments That strikes me as quite reasonable, if someone might soon be president his accomplishments are clearly a highly relevant issue. even his place of birth The same thing happened to McCain.
