You'd think that if Palin wanted to be a Washington player, she would watch the Sunday talk shows and study the issues until she could sit down and give her a coherent interview on the main topics of the day.

But instead it's all about Rovian politics-as-a-cute-story. It is precisely what needs to be pushed out of politics by a crushing loss.

John Bitney, a top policy adviser on Palin’s 2006 gubernatorial campaign, said, “Sarah’s very conscientious about crafting the story of Sarah. She’s all about the hockey mom and Mrs. Palin Goes to Washington—the anti-politician politician.”

I don't think she will go quietly back to AK and stay there.

Unless she is tried, convicted and sentenced to jail.
