1. Obama is in favor of tort reform. I would have to look at his position very carefully to see whether I agree or not. In general "tort reform" has been a clever phrase to take away legal rights.

2. Obama is in favor of merit pay for teachers. Again, I would have to look at his proposals very carefully. That's easily implemented in a way to be very counter productive. I, in case you don't know, generally lean toward unions.

3. I think Obama's wrong in his interpretation of the 2nd amendment, but would have to look very carefully, again, at his reasoning.

4. In general, I favor charter schools and against vouchers, which I understand to be Obama's position. But I would not want to see charter schools implemented in a way that diminished funding for public schools. That's something we need to increase.

5. On healthcare, I favor some version of Medicare for everyone which is not politically possible but is a criteria I use to judge office holders.

That's the short version. Most likely I could come up with more.

Obama leans toward a unity government. So I have no doubt I'll be seeing more of these kinds of things.
