something's wrong in the registration system.

I agree. When I signed up for a checking account, I had to supply an invisible thumb print which can be used to trace fraudulent use of my checking account.

The registration rolls should be purged and repopulated with up to date technologies in place:

1) Proof that you are who you say you are.

2) Proof that you are entitled to vote.

3) A means to ensure that you do not vote fraudulently.

4) No Acorn-type participation in the process. This puts an undue bias in the process. I would do away with the NRA's voter registration links, for example, and everything like them on both sides. The NRA does not go out like Acorn to recruit voters that agree with it, but it does provide the means to get registered. All this would stop.

All this can be done by mail.

I think the incentive of working for ACORN is the number of new registrations you bring in the more $ you make.

However when Micky Mouse and other names are written in I suspect you lose that money.

From what I understand and it's been said by Bill Moyers and the guy who spoke about voter fraud. NOT one of those suspected of being a fake application gets registered by ACORN.

However looking at it objectively there are probably a lot of what we know as the disenfranchised.... poor, elderly ,blacks and Hispanics who never voted whose names are brought in.
They usually might just vote Democratic. THAT may be the crux of this whole bally ho on ACORN registering non qualified voters. AND again it has been repeated often enough as as my old friend Goebbels (just kidding ) used to say, repeat a lie a long time and it becomes believable.
