I hope it is a decisive election, one way or the other.

I'm not so sure I agree. Partially because its more likely to be decisive in Obama's favor, but even if the odds where 50/50, or say 55/45 in McCain's favor, I don't think I'd like what Obama would do with an overwhelming win, and I'm not even really sure I'd like what McCain would do.

I think you haven't been reading the polls, if that's what you believe.

See Real Clear Politics, where they report on most of the polls, but exclude the ones done by partisan organizations.

The average of all the national polls they track shows Obama up by 7.2 points at this moment. Well outside the margin of error. One of the polls, by Pew Research, has him up by 14 points.
