it makes clear that Democrats don't want to count anymore military votes than they have to. The dems have always had a hate affair with the military.... Most Americans see the military as defender of American rights and freedom throughout the world. The dems see it as a world oppressor.... but that may only be a side affect of something else... IMO the biggest reason dems have a problem with the military is the training and discipline. Speaking of the enlisted ranks, you get these kids from all over, most of them have very little life or job experience. The military takes these raw people, teaches them to play by the rules and trains them for a job or they're sent to a duty station to learn a skill on the job. A side affect of all this training is usually self esteem, a certain respect for authority and a readjustment of what they think they can accomplish in their lives. These are things that they'll never get from welfare checks..... These are empowering things that put people in charge of their lives, instead of remaining hapless victims. Want to REALLY piss off a democrat?.....Take away all his victims....<g>
