It's strange how often our thinking is at opposites. Unless you believe in selling low and buying high, it would be wrong to buy US securities with Canadian dollars now. To the contrary, this could be a good time to sell US securities and buy Canadian using the inflated US$ proceeds.

Strikes me the other way - with canuck-listed resource plays whacked so hard by a double or triple whammy or whatever this is, i'd be more inclined to bid on them, in the purely theoretical case in which there were funds with which to do so
