Well, I think that this is nice, but it basically just seems to be announcement of turn-up of an existing system that GEMS has already shipped, I doubt it will of itself move the stock.

To me it seems all up to earnings.

I think we will see a good move tomorrow. Probably up over 16 again based on this news release. We also had this release yesterday:

October 20, 1997 Glenayre Announces New Sales Distribution Program

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- To expand its existing North American sales channels, Glenayre Technologies Inc.
announced today that the company is now offering a formal sales agent program that provides service shops and
other industry affiliates the opportunity to participate in placement of Glenayre products and communication
systems.

The program was designed and will be managed by Phil Johnson, Glenayre's vice president of distribution
development. Johnson has extensive experience in successfully developing and implementing indirect sales
channels within the telecommunications industry.

Kerry Heagle, Glenayre's senior vice president of sales for Wireless Messaging Products, added, "By offering an
agent program for qualified service shops, Glenayre's sales staff gains contact with additional segments of the
domestic market, including non-traditional customers such as hospitals, governmental agencies and large industrial
complexes. In addition, selected agents benefit from access to our technical experts and sales force, as well as
acquiring lucrative business opportunities."
