That's too bad because its an important metric. Its not like there is some central distribution point, people earn the wealth and then they have it. If the poor in the US are as well off as the poor in other wealthy countries (and far better than the poor people in poor or "middle class" countries) and they are also wealthier than they used to be (and they are), that isn't a sign of a problem. There is a sign of a problem when the wealth becomes concentrated in the upper strata. If our rich are wealthier than the rich in other countries that also isn't a problem, its a good thing not a bad one. If I could press a button and double the real wealth of the top 10% (real wealth, from new production, not grabbed from others), than I would do so. You are ignoring the fact that the wealth is too concentrated among a small percentage of the population. You have ignored that point for years. Why is this a good thing....that the rich in this country are richer? How can you think its a bad thing? Additional wealth of some, without others having less wealth means some benefit without hurting others. So its a good thing. When wealth is too concentrated at the top, many of the people below are struggling economically, its not a good thing. Its a scenario that leads revolutions. You seem to be so in to the politics of envy that you want to pull people down even if it doesn't raise other people up. A typical rightwinger attempt to divert attention from the real problem and try to focus on something else.
