Paul,
IBM has a line of MediaGX based computers called the "Ambra Inspirati" they sell in Canada...if they could get enough GX' assemblies they could sell them here.

We'll see.

"Down the road Intel is preparing a response to CYrix's MediaGX"

You sound like an Intel PR wanna be.

==============================
COMPAQ Presario 2200 Desktop with Cyrix 166MHZ ---$799
from PC ZOne, the mail order company.

This is the low end of the consumer line (with monitor $999) and is targeted at first time users.

==============================

What down the road Intel is going to compete with the under $1000 box component suppliers? In your dreams. They only "compete" in that market by virtue of the glut of chips out there now.

And the question is do they make any profit on the 150MHZ - 200MHZ chips, or are they simply dumping them, or have they stuffed the channel with them so that everybody is grey marketing them?

You don't have a clue do you.
