It's not high tech stuff. They are basically putting a few TV channels together to increase bandwidth.

Motorola, Cisco and a few others make the equipment.

It's a simple evolution of the original DOSCIS 1.0 standard.

(Cable systems are pretty much running on the DOSCIS 2.0 standard now.)

They're getting their 3.0 CMTS equip from Arris. I think Cisco has a piece of the new modem contract.
