Officer Kern was obviously only citing his membership in the MTOA and although the MTOA made clear he wasn't representing them in an official capacity, it was nice of them to confirm Officer Kern was on the scene. :)

Hill and Bill did the same thing with the military in the WH.
Military personnel were restricted in the times they were allowed to wear uniforms.
