More important and encompassing would be to reexamine and define what the gov't should spend tax money on and cut all that fat....

Bush should have cut off funding for PBS and NPR years ago...

GWB has been horrible at controlling domestic spending.
In addition to cutting left-wing NPR and PBS, why does the govt spend our money subsidizing opera and ballet for rich people? Nothing against those activities but people that go to opera and ballet can afford to fund it themselves.
