In the last 8 years, the wealthy have increased their income by 50% while the rest of us have increased our income by 5%. Over the last 35 years, the income ratio between rich and poor has increased from 20:1 to 70:1. The policies of the Republicans are reverse-socialism...they redistribute the wealth from the poor to the rich. If we continue these policies, then the logical end state will be a plutocracy. I don't know about you, but I prefer a Democracy.

Democracy doesn't last long in a purely laissez faire economy, because the rich will always take everything in a very short period of time, then they'll buy the government and the masses will have no power or money. These aren't sane policies to ensure the survival of our Democracy and the American Dream. It's time to shift back to the center.
