Is it coming down the chimney itself or is it coming down around the chimney? If the top is damaged and it's coming down through just cap the thing off. I can make one and next day air it if you have the size and can't find something down there.

I have little experience with attorneys, but I know it's important to get a good one who does not have any conflict of interest with the other party. State Farm is such a big concern you might have to do some digging to find one like that. Attorneys often like to settle out of court by telling their clients that a trial might lead to less of a settlement. That way they get paid without having to work too hard. They just toss the thing around with the opposing attorney like a ball. Deal? Deal. You hold the bag.
