"and post goes directly through the slot in the front door."

Oh, yeah. Forgot.

And sometimes the owls drop it down the chimney if the slot is blocked, right?

Just kidding. Yeah, some older intown neighborhoods where the postal carrier walks still have slots in the door or, more often, a letter box on the wall next to the door. Most postal carriers, though, drive and only come to the door if delivering a package, so roadside boxes are the norm for single family homes. You can get ones with a slot in the front and a locking door on back, but I don't see those very often even though theft of mail (mostly to get information for identity theft) is a problem.

As for voter fears, yes, in the past there were attempts to intimidate minority voters or prevent them from voting, but that was a long long time ago. Claims that proponents of voter ID laws are trying to disenfranchise minorities or anyone else are bogus conspiracy theories meant simply to make blacks paranoid about Republicans, keep them loyal to the Democratic machine that controls most larger cities here, and keep them from thinking for themselves. Cynical race baiting to keep blacks in line behind established party bosses.

That's the way I see it, anyway.

How come there's no waiting lines?

Waiting lines with NO SECOND AMENDMENT -- cops with guns,

Waiting lines WITH Second Amendment -- people with the RIGHT to Bear Arms.
