I'm hoping that Obama, if he is elected, can come out on Inauguration Day without having to hide behind anything. Sure, triple and quadruple the number of Secret Service agents for that day, use high-tech spy gear, do whatever to guarantee his safety, but I for one don't want to see him have to hide in fear of his life. That would give the bigots and the haters a psychological victory in itself ... I don't think he has a choice if he wants to see his kids grow older. Let me remind you he was the first primary candidate in the history of the US to get a security detail. That was because he was receiving many death threats even back then. Imagine what will happen if he's elected. The US is a violent nation.........some of us resort to violence when democracy doesn't perform in the manner we would like.
