Well, I didn't expect you to agree on Obama. But you asked, reasonably politely, so I replied.

The first links were just long lists. I didn't vet them, nor compile them. But they include plenty of big names. I'd agree that whatever their expressed displeasure with Palin or with the McCain campaign (rarely McCain himself, notice) not all have actually endorsed Obama. But you seemed to doubt the existence of any such.

Well, an incumbent senator and an incumbent congressman seem pretty senior to me. Indeed I don't know how you rank senators v. governors, but arguably the next most senior elected officials after a senator are the President and VP...
And given their limited numbers I wouldn't say either ought to be disregarded.

Anyhow the congressman was the specific person I was quoting of a standing Republican trying to link with Obama (rather than BUsh or McCain), so pretty relevant to my point.
