i think TA is backward looking, but despite that... is generally reliable within established market trends for very short term trades (everyone is looking at the same charts)..of course 'news' always trumps TA and we've had more than our share of that <gg>... i seem to recall p&f was particularly unreliable during market trend reversals...in fact, fade the p&f chart during those times seemed to be the best trade otoh, people like louise yamada use p&f....but she does so for longer term trends....last time i saw her...she was extremely bearish....i think we've taken out her bearish price objectives....will need to double check to be sure...they drag her out on cnbc about every month or so <gg>
