Just caught Greenie's testimony. What an ego-maniacal loser the man is. He says he realized in 2006 that there was a housing bubble! DUH! This thread of non financial geniuses had the read on that five years earlier, as did many, many others.

He said there's no way to predict these things, that financial stuff has just gotten too complicated for humans to deal with. As an engineer, I know when things progress to that point, I break things down into simpler units and processes I CAN deal with. As Fed chair, he had the power and authority to do just that.

It's the KISS principle. Keep It Simple, Stupid!

Which is what we should be doing with these insane derivative financial instruments.
