As I said in my earlier post, what I think angers people about her is that people are expecting her to not be on a constant attack of Barack Obama and Biden, who have considerable experience under their belt than she has. They also expect her to discuss issues in lieu of personal attacks.

That's all.

>>visceral hatred<<

I think that's an unfair characterization (excepting maybe a very small minority).

Intense dislike would describe my own reaction.
I don't care one way or the other about her as an individual, but the idea of her exercising presidential power is deeply troubling.

If there is a visceral reaction, then it's probably one that is induced by anyone who has been significantly over-promoted into a position of authority. That we are talking about presidential authority magnifies the response.

The 'anger' is at the idea of her as president.

Here's a typical response:

Actually to paraphrase what I said. I can certainly understand those who question her lack of experience, but I can't account for what appears to me to be visceral hatred of the woman.

I believe its actually directed at GW Bush who has become invisible since he got booed at a baseball game. She is seen as the female equivalent of GW. In addition, people are angry at McCain for picking her but his POW status gives him a free pass......so she gets that anger as well. Then, of course, she is nasty in her own right.
