The thing that pisses me off is that they are boundly determined to socialize the losses and make everyone suffer instead of letting the bad apples suffer the results of their speculation.

Why don't they just let those who were stupid enough to play with 40 times leverage fail?

That might have a deterrent effect.

As it is there is no incentive to be prudent.

Well Elroy you did not answer my question - you call it "deleveraging" then you go on why there are losses - but still do not explain to me clearly what "panic" means
