Palin will be Palin. And, when it's over, she'll be happy sitting in Alaska knowing she didn't really have to deal with it all. Think. You know that she knows that she's not ready. If this conclusion hasn't yet engraced her consciousness then something is very seriously wrong with her.

More realistically, perhaps McCain selected her 'cause he knew he (they) weren't gonna win; that she'd make a big splash and might thus become the polished for the next or next-next time around ('Gainst Hillary!). Republicans, because they are so corporatively tied, have historically groomed their candidates. And they did well at this until Bush-Cheney-Rove, et. al., made distasteful any idea of a Republican candidate ... at least in the upcoming decadeodial(sp?--is this a word?) historical election cycle.

If you're a strong-thinking Republican (not GOPwinger), probably what's best for the nation is for Republicans to get on board with Obama and go down the road for a bit and see how it comes out. As with Goldwater, the tidal wave has come again!
