Well, I guess I can understand that........doing so is very lucrative. The League of Women Voters did the same thing for decades and they weren't being paid. I think it's a widely-held assumed value that everyone should vote. ACORN has supplemented that with pay, but I expect that a lot of the ACORN people think they're doing God's work in signing people up.

The people who are paid by ACORN to register voters are motivated by the pay, however, and I think that, together with lax oversight, is what has led to the problems there. - Allen
