Because Californians, dear 'Lexa, are weak, puny specimens who would falter and fail under the responsibility of such a glorious assignment. I don't think I even mentioned the fact that the girls make a garter for the boys' arms similar in appearance, and only slightly smaller. Why, I have heard that Texas girls train for this event in P.E. by wrapping anvils around their chests and running laps around the gym.
