"Inflating our way out of this mess is the Fed's only option at this point,"

That is utterly absurd. It was printing and the INEVITABLE resulting inflation that CREATED the mess. "Lowering interest rates" which means printing more money STEALS from savers and GIVES to borrowers.

Printing money does not create wealth it DESTROYS it by perverse incentive. There has been enormous mal-investment due to the Greenspan/Bernanke printing of the last nine years. US$ has halved in value last eight years. The recent rise in the US$ does not mean that it has become worth more it just means that other countries have joined in the crime.

The Fed CREATED the mess it can NOT fix it. I can. A free market. No rescues to business. Stop jailing people for using safe(or any) drugs. Punish only harm to others not alleged(and mostly fictitious) harm to self. Close down the guilds. All of them, not just the plumbers.

Oh and did I mention foreign adventure? I think Jefferson, who had a rather higher IQ than Bush, had something to say on the matter I think, but I'm not American and can't be bothered looking it up so maybe I'm wrong.
