"And some people are predicting that this year's election turnout will be close to 80%.....up from I think 60% in 2004"

I watched Rachel Maddow for the first time yesterday. That gal makes me proud to be a lesbian in a man's body. I would so totally do her.

She's the best.......anyone who can get along with Pat Buchanan has to be unique. BTW did you know she was a Rhodes scholar?

Anyway, one little factoid I picked up from her show was that in MI, 98% of eligible voters are registered. That's astounding!

Yup. I was floored by that factoid too. I've never seen people so excited to vote. People in line for early voting claim they couldn't wait until election day.

Yesterday, Obama was at a rally in Indianapolis and they panned the crowd. Suddenly the camera focused on this one woman....she was listening intently to Obama speak....suddenly one tear came rolling down her face. And I knew exactly how she felt.

I don't think they're registering to vote for McSame.

I would think that's a pretty good guess.
