You've missed the point. The not-for-profit game is certainly a racket, but only a minuscule number of doctors get any of that not-for-profit largess. The majority of doctors (the ones that actually take care of patients) have little or no economic or political power in today's hospital.

I'm sure that doctors will be put on salary sooner or later and then the salary will be quickly diminished and then voila you have England-for better or for worse. Then doctors will be working 9 to 5 and good luck getting that appointment to your high powered specialist.
