My daughter emailed that Krauthammer article to one of her 28 year old friends who had been an avid Obama supporter and she flipped to McCain on the spot. It is a compelling argument.

This is an example of Krauthammer's COMPELLING writing that caused your daughter's friend "to flip" out.....I mean flip:

"Contrarian that I am, I'm voting for John McCain. I'm not talking about bucking the polls or the media consensus that it's over before it's over. I'm talking about bucking the rush of wet-fingered conservatives leaping to Barack Obama before they're left out in the cold without a single state dinner for the next four years."

or this:

"I stand athwart the rush of conservative ship-jumpers of every stripe -- neo (Ken Adelman), moderate (Colin Powell), genetic/ironic (Christopher Buckley) and socialist/atheist (Christopher Hitchens) -- yelling "Stop!" I shall have no part of this motley crew. I will go down with the McCain ship. I'd rather lose an election than lose my bearings."

Puh-leeze.....that just the ole captain's buck up speech to get the troops to march to certain death. And now I know from where all YOUR talking points come.

I just hope your daughter's friend lives in Arkansas. I would not want Obama's chances hurt in a state he could win.

"Palin is far more qualified to hold the office of VP than Obama is to hold the office of the presidency."

Yawn.

No matter how many times you repeat it, it won't magically become true.

Here are the facts. She is polarizing, and not in a good way. Not that there are many good ways, but I digress. She doesn't poll well except with the core Republicans. In fact, she polls awful with several key groups, especially women. As time has gone on, her numbers haven't improved or even stabilized. They keep getting worse. Especially those having to do with her perception of being ready for the job.

"There have been two really important "defectors". Two."

Talk about nonsense. They are elbowing each other aside as they flee to the exits. McCain had one of his own advisers bail on him just recently. It doesn't get any worse than that.
