"The electoral system is very frustrating and why the GOP fights to keep it." The electoral system gives small population states an outsized influence on the outcome, and makes the votes of voters in these states count more than votes in populous states. It should be eliminated. It was instituted as a compromise to give small population southern state slaveowners more clout. Time to fix it.
