A few days ago, we were talking about Ayres and the kids in schools....Plus earlier we had talked about his book. If ANYONE compares the cost per pupil in Chicago for each of the last 15 years, then analysizes how many kids graduate, and of those how many go on to college, I think we will see, as is true in NYC, that as th cost per pupil has gone up, their performance has gone down in every respect.

Questions should be asked, and answered, as to WHY...

In NYC, the cost for each child in public schools is over $11,500 per each per year. Graduate about 30-40% if they are lucky.

How is it that the private schools spend considerably less per pupil, and have a much higher graduation rate from HS, and of those HS grads, a MUCH higher rate going on to college....
