Democrats will need to start acting like they cherish our Democratic Republic before they have a chance to receive another vote from me.

I respect Lieberman, but he's not a democrat anymore.

It's peculiar, but I went to a Candidates' Night a month or so ago. One Democrat and the rest Republicans. I knew from the Dem's responses that she was just like Obama. We'll give you change you need (but -- I don't WANT a new sewer system. My septic works fine. I don't WANT to have to handle my yard waste three or four times to get it to the 2 x year chipper day when last year I could handle it once and burn it. Etc.)

Our state system does not allow candidates to declare for a party, only express a party preference. Therefore, two candidates from the same party can be pitted against each other in the election if they get the most votes in the primaries. That's what happened.

I voted for one Rep because she knew what "Value Engineering" was and had practiced it. That made two of us in the room who had a clue. If we had conducted a Value Analysis of the sewer system and the chipper day, I wouldn't be faced with either of those things that I don't want.

Today I got a notice from the NRA that they are supporting the other Rep. What to do. What to do.

Well, I can't do anything. I mailed my vote in yesterday.
