I totally agree.

I don't know how far left Obama plans to go. He doesn't sound very far left to me- although at this point it is kind of a race between McCain and Obama to see who can give away the most money to the most people. It's kind of funny, really (unless you care about small government). There is no smaller government guy in this race- and frankly, I think McCain could very well turn out to be the bigger deficit engine (if he got the chance at the Big Job).

But back to the middle, I agree the middle is a brake. And I'm fine with that. I do think it's a good thing.

Current tabulation of poll of polls=Obama 50.4, McCain 42.4
So going into next week, Obama carries an 8 point lead on average. It seems strong. I hope it holds. Everyone take very shallow breathes.
