Thanks for the reply. Your logic seems excellent. Your timing might be a bit early but if you buy and hold it's going to be hard to lose.

It's tempting to buy an entry level position here but think I'll hold out until late December to see if prices get even better. I am of the same mindset as Patron in that we will probably get another bear market rally between now and year end but that almost every stock is going much lower than where it is right now.

Oil may be needed for a while.

I don't know where it was, but I saw a video of the Chevy Volt being shown to some news organization. It approached at about 10 mph, pulled up to the news crew and died. It didn't start again, so the reporter didn't get to drive it. The Chevy people actually suggested that they "speed up" the video to make it seem less pathetic!

Really makes you wonder just what kind of assclowns are running Chevy that they would even let this be seen! A sad statement about where we are.

The breakeven point for oil sands vary by project, but on average it's in the $70-$80 range.

Connacher claims they are profitable at $40. SAGD operation. Largest position in my pf.
