PartyTime...........remember........it was clearly only 1/3 of the population of our young country who supported Independence from England. It was that 1/3 that made sure we were free from Oligarchs who believed they were put on Earth to define our meaning and purpose. The Socialist agenda Obama and his followers want and need has been tried. Other than it doesn't work, the problem with it is people like me. People who will never, ever submit or allow an ideology to destroy their Individual Freedom and Independence. People like Joe the Plumber......who has now had his privacy invaded by a group of people........most likely those who have been given the authority to defend and protect....... who want to stop him because he is a threat to them. BTW this attitude of his and mine threatens Unions of all kinds including Police. What kind of threat??? He wants to stop the kind of govt that will take the hard earned rewards of men like himself and millions of other Joe the Plumbers and give it to those who have not earned it. He does not support a system that demands that people give up their identity. He doesn't want to stop democrats because he is greedy. He wants to stop them because he knows that if they are successful they will destroy the Human Spirit. You know............the kind of Human Spirit that believes the answers to our problems do not come from Government but from Free Men. I believe if we read history we can see what destroying the Human Spirit can do. Read how Stalin, and Mao and Pol Pot destroyed the Human Spirit. See how demoralized the Human Being is in Communist countries. Americans have their limit. Devaluing hard work, taking from one for the good of all and "spreading the wealth around" (all except his of course) as Obama says, destroys the Human Spirit. Socialism in America will destroy any form of initiative. It will destroy creativity, it will destroy desire and fulfillment and economy and any and all number of things that make us all Human. Socialism has the ability to destroy entire societies. And because we still respect and defend individual freedoms and liberty, millions of people like Joe the Plumber are going to try to stop Obama's Socialism from taking root. You decry rich Republicans, but I hear no such admonishment when it comes to rich Democrats. Do you believe they are not capable of greed and avarice? LOL and I'd say you are naive if so. Here's news for you.......greed and avarice does not have a political preference. It's all about money PartyTime.........other people's money. Govt taking if from someone who has worked very hard for it and giving it to someone that hasn't "for the (Socialist) betterment of society. It is not a complicated concept. It is not govt's money to take or give. It belongs to the man who worked for it. Our system was designed to provide as much independence as possible for each and every one of us. It was not designed to give power to one man or one ideology, and so I hate to disappoint you, but this little Oligarchic experiment the left wants to foist on America is doomed to fail regardless of what happens on Nov 4th. And remember this......our Constitution, and Independent minded people like me are the only thing that stands between you and Control by the State. Also remember this: What existed in my forbears' exists within me. It exists in millions of Americans, and it is not gone. It will not submit and it will fight to retain the Independent, Free and Liberated Human Spirit we possess. The Human Spirit our Forefathers fought to protect and defend forever and ever. And please do send me your polls so I can learn more about what you believe. "That Republicans are a) lots of rich folk; and, b) lots of poor religious folk." I will love to pour over them. At this point though..........I must say this is truly one of the most ridiculous and insulting things I've ever seen written on SI. And truly believing it.......as I'm sure you do........I can understand why your opinion is very jaded and hateful and narrow. And congratulations on your heritage......... When they weren't fighting in The War of Independence, Civil War, WW1, WW2, Korean War and The VN war, a few of my forbears'.......including my father.......were Sea Captains who sailed those ships all around this great big world. Those ships your forbears' built and sold to the greedy, capitalist ship owners. LOL Please do believe me, Neeka: I want folks to believe in what they believe in--and I want this universally! No you don't..........not at all. You won't even admit that it is you who is "bogged down with an agenda of some kind." And admonishes anyone who thinks differently than you as a lesser person. As either greedy or some poor person (redneck, racist?) who also happens to believe...or not.......in a higher power.
