Absolute power does not corrupt absolutely. It depends on the person. Obama has talked about the concept of self actualization. Obama seems to have a good sense of himself and has his ego under control. Lincoln, Washington and Jefferson, never succumed to egotisical shallowness. I think they offered to make Washington a king and he turned it down. Obama has a personality much like Lincoln's. I never read anywhere that Lincoln was power hungry. Lincoln, like MLK and Bobby Kennedy only had a passion to help others and get rid of the bad guys. People like that do exist.
