If that's they way they do it, then you're correct.

<She was required by law to administer IQ and achievement tests on a regular basis to children who couldn't even hold their heads up, much less answer a question or show improvement.>

Th law is an ass.

One counterpoint is that your post gives one good example of the inefficiencies and waste perhaps inherent in public education. Sounds like they are just flushing public monies down the drain.

If Obama is elected you can be sure public education will go down the toilet, just as it did when he and Ayers worked on it in Chicago. Certainly, any improvements to the structure of the system will be fought tooth and nail and supported by Obama and company.

Kids will be required to spend more time on 'Earth in the Balance' indoctrination programs, and reasonable disagreement will be squashed as "hate speech".

Abortion rights will be placed high on the priority list. Parental notification and or permission rights wil be tossed aside in favor of government school privacy rights. Young women in school will be given transportation to and from an abortion clinic without a parent even knowing they were missing classes. Government will be the decision maker in this most private of family matters. Abortion will also be encouraged in sex-education classes. And those type of classes will be taught to younger and younger children, just as Obama supported in Chicago.

Colleges that support hate America teachings such as Ayers, will be given larger support from the federal government. Conversely, those who show an independent streak will be cut off from federal dollars. Look for affirmative action programs to come back in vogue and supported aggressively - including hiring more and more radical professors of the Ayers type. Any criticism of radical Muslim terrorists, such as those who killed thousands on 9/11 will be considered hate speech and not allowed.

Of course, this will all come as a big surprise to some Obama supporters, who are not inclined toward strong ideological policy prescriptions. And they will speak of the other side of the coin, of how religion is forced on kids in school as being a far bigger danger, because a few extremely rare events will occur somewhere in the deep south. That being; someone will actually say a prayer at a high-school football huddle, or say God Bless America as a part of the Pledge Of Allegiance.
