Politics is all about ass kissing, schmoozing and compromise. Obama did what he had to do in order to get to the highest seat in the country. He did it against great odds and with out any serious questions as to his integrity or character. That alone makes him a standup candidate. Look at the tarnished backgrounds of McCain and prior presidents. Adultery, scandal, alcoholism, nepotism and on and on. Lots of baggage. Additionally, there's also much domestic and international discontent of varying degrees with the candidates. The world is embracing Obama. I'll repeat what I said many times- we're very fortunate that this guy still wants the job.
