My contention is that both campaigns are making foolish promises that are simply not realistic in today's financial environment.

OK, I agree.

But I think what we were saying in earlier posts was not so much about the costs, as about the allocation of resources in education, and possibly having special care that far exceeds "educating" as coming from a different budget line.
