He's really run an exceptional campaign, especially if it culminates with a very good get out the vote effort.

If you can't give him credit for that then you are hopelessly biased.


I believe he's run a GOOD campaign, but he has been dirty and he has lied like hell throughout it. It was a "smart" campaign in that he knew he couldn't get elected with his extreme views and he his move to the center was convincing to the idiots who can't see through it.

And I agree his effort to get the vote out is second to none -- in particular, getting people to vote early to "lock in" the votes is ingenious.

There is no doubt he has made it look easy. Lying is easy for him, and his campaign is built on a foundation of absolute lies and deceit. Some of it was not out of the ordinary -- for example, painting McCain as being a third Bush term -- I don't file that to be going to far. But lying about his positions? Nasty.
