Well, unless we all see the the problem, there will be no way to fix it. We will continue along the path of throwing more and more money to the administration of schools, and get fewer and fewer good results from the kids.

People forget....100 years ago, we didn't have this massive outlay of government money, but rather had some local "one room schoolhouses" and of course, homeschooling. The results were pretty spectacular then.

The results today of public education are by-in-large dismal.

I believe Obama's children go to private schools. Why? If the public schools are good enough for everyone else, why wouldn't they be good enough for his kids?

On top of the problems for our schools Nationally, take a look at the schooling the kids in China are receiving...starting at 5 years old, and starting at 5AM in the morning, until 5 at night, with homework until 10pm....24/7.

Our kids will be competing with these kids in just a few years for jobs.

UNless you roll back the clock on the Ed. for Handicapped Children ACt, or IDEA, 33 years of expansion in this area, you can't do it. Unless you turn away problem or low-achieving children from the public school, you can't do it. In other words, private schools' are able to succeed by creating a far more homogenous student body to educate. And in public schools, that would be considered discrimination.
