If Obama wants to unify the country, he's going to have to govern from the center and take the power away from the Reid and Pelosi types. He should also put some republicans in his administration.

The trickle down economics theory doesn't work when the top level is using the loot to boost exec pay packages to obscene levels, while offshoring the jobs, and cutting wages and benefits for the working class.

Where is the outrage over the $70 billion in bonuses going to the execs of the banks that just got the $750 bailout package? Time to get the crackwhores out of the banks, and time for a real SEC.

Reading the "conservatives" on SI, one would think they are all Wall Street CEOs or big biz upper level execs, they way they support the Bush policies.

One of the most alarming things I read on SI, is the fervent, blind support of the far right and left for their respective parties. Are the American people so brainwashed, that they support their parties in the same manner as their favorite sports teams. Why do so many Americans love to drink the Kool Aid?

What's with the automatic labelling process? In most other developed nations, people aren't labelled by their party affiliation, but that's one of noticeable peculiarities of America.
