I suspect you mean something narrower by "redistributed," as in money given to others without some commensurate work involved. Am I right? Because that's what the word means in this context. That's what all the fuss is about--taking from one person and giving to another deemed more deserving of it. If people want to fuss about your kind of redistribution, then the issue is progressive income taxes. They're two different albeit related issues that your definition conflates. And "redistribution" to cronies is something else again--graft.
