In some cases the actual corporation pays $0 and the owners pay.

In ~2000 companies like Cisco paid $0 because they took tax deductions for employee and director exercises of options.

Data available may be from before 2007 so I don't have a way to know what it is today, except U.S. receipts for corporate taxes are shown in the Budget, and it was recently at a record.

People throw around all kinds of data to make a point.
