Dear James Riley,

You are correct. Politics has no relationship to oil or gas stocks, oil or gas profits, or the future.

Thinking about the political economy of oil and NG has no place here. We should only talk API grades, declining PE's, storms, weather, hot 'hunches,' personal favorite stock picks, green energy, and cost of dreams deferred.

Rumor has it............the government affects oil companies.

Rumor has it...........the nature of government behavior, laws, regulations, and tax policies MIGHT affect equity prices.

Rumor has it ...........geopolitics MIGHT affect world oil prices.

Then again, maybe I am confused. Gotta run. 'burb is out-a gas.

Cheers,
